Mac App Store Release Next Week?

The rumor mill has produced this one. CNET reports that an "inside source" says the App Store for Mac will be launching December 13th. From the way things have been going, almost all "inside sources" have been good to their word. If this is true, then you can start buying free/payed applications from the store and downloading them to your Mac. It is very odd that the store would launch next week. Steve Job himself said the store was slated to release ninety days from October. That would mean this application should not be available until the end of January. That makes more sense because the next Apple press conference would be around then. However, launching it next week would also be a good move for Apple's holiday sales. They could put many of the new applications on sale for the holidays, not only testing their service, but also making money in the process. We will just have to wait and find out.
